The head of the High National Elections Commission (HNEC), Imad Al-Sayeh, received a delegation representing Tuareg organizations and activists.
The group included members of the Supreme Social Council of the Tuareg of Libya and activists from the No Discrimination Movement, Libya Unites Us.
During the meeting, the parties agreed on the right to political participation for all Libyans across the cultural and social spectrum and discussed ways to promote inclusiveness in the electoral process.
Within the framework of supporting the democratic track, the Tuareg delegation briefed Al-Sayeh on the obstacles facing their community with regard to the voting process and solutions to the problems.
They underscored that the building of a civil state could only take place through the ballot boxes and the peaceful transfer of power, praising the Commission’s efforts aimed at reaching the elections.
