Moroccan Protesters Rally for Palestine in Rabat

Moroccans of all ages and backgrounds rallied today in Rabat to extend their unwavering support for Palestinians amid continued Israeli war crimes against civilians.

The protesters chanted several slogans calling for an immediate ceasefire to end the genocide of Palestinians.

The protesters also held banners reflecting anger and frustration over the Israeli airstrikes that killed thousands of Palestinians, including over 3,000 children so far.

Some of the banners read “Palestine is my home,” while others condemned the US’ involvement in the killing of victims.

Many, including children, also waved Palestinian flags, while others wore Palestinian keffiyeh, a checkered black and white scarf worn around the neck or head.

Others adorned their faces with Palestinian flags in support of their legitimate right to enjoy a life without oppression and occupation.

Palestine has been subject to escalating attacks and airstrikes since October 7, killing at least 8,000 people, particularly in Gaza.

The massacres have targeted all people, including women, children, and the elderly.

Warplanes have also targeted residential buildings and health facilities, as well as worship sites, making the situation worse by destroying shelter sites.

In addition to the war, Israel also continues restrictions on humanitarian aid for Palestinians in addition to electricity and telecommunications outages.

The situation has affected hospitals, many of which went out of service as they ran out of fuel for their electric generators.
