The Société de Fabrication des Boissons de Tunisie (SFBT) has published its financial results for the third quarter. These show a total turnover of TND 614.7 million, compared with TND 600.7 million a year earlier, an increase of 2%.
This increase was mainly due to higher revenues from beer sales, which rose from TND 399.8 million to TND 408.1 million.
Local sales of soft drinks also went up by 6% to 153.4 million dinars from TND 144.7 million a year earlier.
In terms of volume, SFBT sold 126.5 million liters of beer in the first nine months of the current year, compared with 134.4 million liters in the same period last year, a decline of 5.9%.
Beer production fell from 140.2 million liters to 130.8 million liters, a decrease of 6.7%.
