Tunisia: SOTETEL Increases Turnover by 17% to TND 40 Million at End September


SOTETEL continued its dynamic revenue growth in the third quarter of this year.

The subsidiary of the incumbent operator Tunisie Télécom generated revenues of TND 12.8 million between June and September this year, compared with 11.2 million dinars for the same period in 2002, up 13.8%.

This quarterly growth brought cumulative revenues for the first nine months of the current year to TND 39.6 million, up 16.9% from TND 33.9 million at the end of September 2002.

In the first nine months of the year, export revenues increased by 144% to TND 1.5 million, compared with TND 635,000 in 2022. Local sales increased by 14% to TND 37.3 million.

Operating expenses went up by 19.7% to TND 36.5 million as of September 30, compared to TND 30.5 million in the same period in 2022, including TND 21.3 million in purchases (including subcontracting) and TND 12 million in personnel costs.

In addition, at the end of the first nine months of the year, SOTETEL generated a positive EBITDA of 3 million dinars, compared to 3.3 million dinars a year earlier.
