Logistics Firm Lodisna Opens Operations Center in Morocco

The operations center is located in Tangier and is posed to facilitate trade between Europe and Morocco.

Rabat – Lodisna, a logistics and transportation company headquartered in Navarra, Spain, inaugurated a new operations center in Morocco.

Located in Tangier, the new operations center is equipped with a fleet and a local workforce, according to a statement from the company published on Monday.

Lodisna’s foray into the Moroccan market is posed to facilitate trade between Morocco and Europe, the company argued.

Igor Beguiristain, CEO of Lodisna, expressed his enthusiasm for the opening of the new center.

“Our arrival in Morocco is a significant milestone. As a Navarrese company, we have expanded into a new country, solidifying our internationalization strategy, which demonstrates our commitment to crossing borders and taking our innovative proposition to new markets and sectors,” he said.

“There are many opportunities in this expansion, which is why we have decided to enter this market to support our clients who are investing in an emerging economy for their expansion,” he added.

On her part, Amal Boussouf, director of the Spanish Chamber of Commerce in Morocco-Tangier said that “the road freight transport sector in Morocco is one of the main factors contributing directly or indirectly to the flow of goods and the development of national and international trade.”

Boussouf explained that the sector represents 75% of the flow of goods (excluding phosphates), making it imperative to develop the capacity of its services in terms of quality, road safety, and cost.

“At the beginning of the third millennium and in view of the major challenges facing the country, as well as the aspirations and strategic objectives set out in the national logistics competitiveness strategy, the road transport sector has become the cornerstone of all issues related to security, cooperation, partnership, social cohesion, and socio-economic development,” she stressed.
